I acquired a thing called self-esteem
Lowered standards, if you know what I mean
It gets me through the night
My future's looking bright
No hard thinking, weighing and pondering
Indeed it's simple, it makes me wonder and
I never really tried

It's not worthwhile the strain
So I avert the eyes

My understanding is to not understand
